Hi! My name is Miss B, and I am the K-5 Moderate Special Education teacher here at Millbrook Elementary. The 2023-24 school year will be my third year teaching, as well as my third year at Millbrook. I had an absolute blast teaching during my first two years here, and I am SO excited for year three!! I am from a small town in Tennessee, and I moved to the area a few years ago with my husband for his job. I have three dogs and two cats, and I love taking my dogs on adventures in our spare time! I began my college career at the University of TN at Knoxville (Go Vols!), and I finished up my degree in Special Education here in Aiken at USC Aiken. My passion to teach Special Education has been on-going since I was 5 years old, and now that I am currently pursuing that dream has me absolutely tickled!!

During my first two years here at Millbrook, my class created a family- and for that I am so incredibly grateful! I can't wait to build on to our class family this school year and create more exciting memories together and welcome our new students to the class! The two spectacular ladies in the picture with me (from left to right: Mrs. Hayes, Miss B, Ms. Hamic) are a vital part of our class family, and make our school year possible with their excellence!! They work tirelessly each day to ensure each of our students feel welcome and to help them achieve their goals. Our classroom goal is for each student and adult that walks through our door feel welcomed, important, and like they are in a safe space that feels like home. I am not only here to teach my students academics, but to help them achieve life skills goals, create new goals for themselves, and to feel as if they are apart of a family in their home away from home. I feel so grateful to get to do what I LOVE every single day.
