NCAA Eligibility
If you plan to play sports in college, you must register with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Follow these steps:
- Register by the beginning of your JUNIOR year.
- Go to to register online, or download the application, and mail it in. Make sure to let your counselor know that you have registered so that we can send your transcript.
- Request SAT/ACT scores be sent to the Clearinghouse when you register (use code 9999 on test registration form).
- The NCAA will not accept credits earned in middle school to satisfy athlete eligibility requirements.
After you graduate, you, your parent, or your coach needs to request a final evaluation from the NCAA in order for you to be eligible to play in college. This final evaluation does not happen automatically.
