Mrs. Mandy Pond

My name Mandy Pond and I have been teaching for 25 years.  I am a graduate of Clemson University (Go Tigers!) and received my Masters degree in Creative Arts/Curriculum Learning from Lesley University. I am married to Brad Pond and we have four boys.  Andrew is a freshman at Clemson, Garrett is a senior at NAHS, Miles is a 8th grader at Paul Knox Middle School, and Luke is in 4th grade here at HHE. Over my career, I have taught second grade at Redcliffe Elementary (1998-2002), Hammond Hill (2002-2005), and Mossy Creek (2005-2008). I then took some time off to be with my children and taught 3K and 4K part time at Grace CDC. In 2011, I came back to Hammond Hill teaching kindergarten for 2 years, first grade for 3 years, and second grade for 7 years.. I was Teacher of the Year for HHE for the 2021-22 school year. I am now the Reading Interventionist here at HHE, where I will be working in small groups with kindergarten, first and second graders. I am excited to see the growth from my students.

You can reach me by email (apond@acpsd.net) or calling the school (803-442-6170).
