Hello NEMS Parents and Students,
Thank you for a successful 2023-2024 school year. I enjoyed our time together, and I hope you use the next few weeks to celebrate, relax, and recharge for the upcoming school year.
My summer is packed with curriculum and professional development, vacationing and spending quality time with my family and friends. I look forward to sharing everything with my new 7th and 8th graders in the fall.
Parents, if you are looking for an activity to help strengthen your child’s reading skills, consider registering with the site Readtheory.org. Using a short diagnostic, it will create a personalized learning path for your child that you can monitor. Students will still have access to IXL and continue practicing skills on their MAP Growth Study Plan.

Welcome!
I'm excited for a new school year here at New Ellenton Middle STEAM Magnet School. I've been an English Language Arts teacher for over 16 years now. I began my career in 天美传媒 at A.L. Corbett Middle School, where I taught for 7 years, and I then taught in Richland County School District One for 1 year. This is my ninth year at NEMS and I am happy to be serving as your Language Arts 7, English 8, English 8 Advanced and English I Honors teacher. I look forward to an exciting school year full of challenges and successes.
